During LA Fashion week I got the most exciting news...I was going back to India for LAKME Fashion Week....I knew I would be going back to India but never thought it would happen a month later...I had just unpacked from being there last month so it took no time to re-pack and since I already had my visa I was good to go....Thank God I have the best girls working with me so I could take advantage of this amazing oppurtunity . Of course knowing I was going half way around the world I was going to keep myself over there even after my American Express stopped working....First stop Mumbai fashion week (lakme) where I met the loviest people, buyers from Saks , Lord and Taylors and the fabulous Albert Morris of Brown's London....I was so moved by the hosptality of the hosts and found 2 favorite new designers for the store: Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi Mukherjee's....what an inspiring week....Thank you to the fabulous Fern Mallis for thinking of me!!!! you are amazing!!!!

After Lakme Fashion Week wrapped up, I spent another week there traveling on my own. I visited Jaipur, then went to the groovy and holy vegetarian city of Pushkar where I roamed the streets, sat at the Ghats around the magical Lake where Ghandi's ashes were spread, and hiked up to the temple to see the amazing views of the valley. From there, I went to Rishikesh again and visited Hardiwar, where I did a major no no and ate from the street vendors. I'll skip the gory details and just tell you I was flatlined until I departed. Lucky for me, I was in the care of Dr Pramod Mane at the amazing Ananda Spa, who watched over me and forced me to be quiet, which was fine because I was given the most amazing book that I couldn't put down. It's called All You Need Is Love by Nancy Cooke de Herrera. This truly inspiring woman writes about her life, love and eyewitness account of when spirituality spread from East to West. It is a MUST read and is available on line and at store....and save the date as I will be having a book signing for this remarkable woman June 29
