When my friend the fabulous Ann Dexter-Jones asked me if I wanted to be her date for Vikram Chatwal's marriage to Priya Sachdev.....in India, of course I said yes.... This was going to be the wedding of the year if not of a lifetime. Guests were expected from all over the world - including spiritual Guru Deepak Chopra, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Prince Nicolas of Greece, Ali Reza Pahlavi (the Shah of Iran's son), supermodel Michelle Alves with her beautiful mother, New York Hotelier Sean McPhearson and Eric Goode, photographer Sante D'Orazio, Grammy winning producer Nellee Hooper, Hon Lucas White from London, actress/model Patricia Velasquez, business man Vivi Nevo, London Gallery owner Tim Jeffries , and did i mention ...President Bill Clinton...yep they were all there and many many more.... The generous host Daman and Sant Chatwal and Mr and Mrs Sachdev....threw an outrageous itinerary of parties and festivities everyday and night for 8 days....in Mumbai, Udipur and New Dehli...chartering flights, hotels and drivers for their guests...the food, the Bollywood entertainment, dj's from London, New York and Paris....food for an empire.....getting the picture? ...it was insane and I felt so honored to be there... It was a trip of a lifetime and it changed my life on so many levels....
